Prologue.

I mewed louder but my person didn't even look at me.
My person just plays games on the picture box all day and never cares about me or even plays with me anymore. I threw aside the old string that my person inspected me to play with.
I jumpsed on his lap. The chair smelled of sour people food.
"Hey!" he wailed and kicked my to a wall.
I growled as he approached me. He picked me up roughly and stroked my pelt. He petted me like he used to before he was all lazy, and I missed it so much....
But this was enough!
I let my claws sink into my soft squishy skin.
He wailed in pain and said words I never heard before, or could understand.
He lifted me even more roughly then before and carried me to the door.
I got realy excited. 'Was he finally going to play with me again?' I thought.
We used to go outside together and chase the birds, and take a nap in the grass, and just hang out. That's what being a pet is all about...
He opened the door and I saw that it was raining. 'Are we really going to play in the rain?' Water isn't really my thing.
He suddenly threw me outside.
As I landed in the mud a tear ran down my furry cheek.

Now to the story....

Calico hurried to find shelter in the poring rain.
Soon she found a bush that had a sheltered roof.
"I guess this will do..." she said to herself. She had never felt more alone in her life.
What was she going to do? Where was she going to go?
She sighed to herself, making a nest.
"I will have to stay here until I find out what to do," she meowed. But honestly, she thought she was going to die out here.
